Job Description

The Role

As an Associate COA, you will help craft and execute strategies to drive our customers’ adoption and use of AWS services—including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS databases, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, IoT, Generative AI (Bedrock, SageMaker, Amazon Q), and more. Your technical skills and customer-facing abilities will enable you to effectively represent AWS within a customer’s environment, and to discuss incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management with senior leadership.

You will provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices, and proactively maintain your customers’ AWS environments. Building close relationships will help you understand their business and technical challenges, enabling them to maximize AWS value. The role may require travel of 10% or more.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Advise on solutions, provide technical guidance, and advocate for the customer
• Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing costs and complexity
• Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges
• Drive technical discussions on incidents, trade-offs, and risk management using your technical acumen and customer obsession
• Consult with partners from developers to C-suite executives
• Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services, and Sales Managers
• Proactively identify opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
• Review service events, metrics, and pre-launch planning in detail
• Assist customers with migration workloads to the cloud

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical engineering experience
• Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting in one of the following: compute, storage, networking, CDN, databases, DevOps, big data, analytics, security, or application development in distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Scripting and coding skills in Ruby, C/C++, C#, Node.js, Java, Python, PHP
• Experience in customer-facing business presentations covering technical and business aspects
