Safety
- Provide & maintain a safe work environment. Demonstrate leadership with all company & industry safe work processes to prevent injuries.
- Adhere to company HSSE policy and procedures. Ensure all Environmental Regulatory requirements are met. Meet Air Products and APQ standards, and global best practices for EH&S, productivity, reliability, quality, and customer service.
Technical:
- Provide direction & guidance based on technical feedback from Engineering and Maintenance for troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and testing activities.
- Support Operations and Maintenance. Maintain accurate document control and monitor quality assurance initiatives.
- Ensure safety, reliability, and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems through Operations and Maintenance guidance.
- Contribute input for scheduled outages to meet contractual requirements.
- Manage plant production efficiently using data-driven decisions to meet safety and reliability targets for maximum profitability.
- Collaborate with business areas to identify productivity expansion projects.
Skills
Operations and Maintenance
- Ensure safety of personnel by utilizing the APQ Basic Safety Practice program, including Safety Work Permits, LOTO, Confined Space, etc. Facilitate planning, organizing, auditing, and follow-up to embed safety culture.
- Perform all tasks safely and responsibly according to operating procedures and instructions from the Superintendent.
- Carry out maintenance notifications in SAP correctly, verifying details such as functional location, malfunction description, damage code, priority, and hazards.
- Participate in pre-work visits with Maintenance and Contractors to identify risks.
- Prepare and hand over work permit documents to the team.
- Assist in preparing maintenance or process shutdowns and turnarounds, defining scope and prioritizing notifications.
- Participate in daily meetings to share maintenance plans and ensure equipment readiness.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Leaders and Planners to analyze notifications and update schedules.
- Ensure equipment readiness before and after maintenance activities.
- Manage routine testing and preventive maintenance of equipment.
- Prioritize maintenance activities to ensure reliability and operational continuity.
- Release work permits and ensure all safety precautions are met, maintaining zero deviations.
- Interface with support departments for maintenance activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and participate in unusual operational or maintenance activities.
- Contribute to achieving maintenance KPIs related to reliability, planning, and scheduling.
- Keep procedures and schedules updated for special operations.
- Minimize forced tags & bypasses through proper planning, following SIF procedures.
- Support plant technical capability development through coordination with regional and global teams.
- Provide coaching and motivation to operations team to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and train top-performing personnel, fostering open communication, teamwork, and results orientation.
- Maintain close relationships with engineering and maintenance staff for continuous monitoring of plant systems.
- Support incident investigations and root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions.
- Act as the Single Point of Contact for internal issues, representing APQ and coordinating resources.
- Drive operations excellence and customer satisfaction through productivity, reliability, quality, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
