PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Safety

• Provide & maintain a safe work environment. Demonstrate leadership with all company & industry safe work processes to prevent injuries.
• Adhere to company HSSE policy and procedures. Ensure all Environmental Regulatory requirements are met. Follow Air Products and APQ standards, along with global best practices for EH&S, productivity, reliability, quality, and customer service.

Technical:

• Provide direction & guidance based on technical feedback from Engineering and Maintenance for troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and testing activities.
• Support Operations and Maintenance. Maintain accurate documentation and monitor quality assurance initiatives.
• Guide Operations and Maintenance to ensure safety, reliability, and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
• Contribute to scheduled outages planning to meet contractual requirements.
• Manage plant production efficiently based on data-driven decisions to meet safety and reliability targets for maximum profitability.
• Collaborate with business areas to identify productivity expansion projects.

Operations and Maintenance

• Ensure the safety of all personnel by utilizing the APQ Basic Safety Practice program, including Safety Work Permits, LOTO, Confined Space, etc. Facilitate planning, organizing, auditing, and follow-up to foster a safety culture.
• Perform all tasks safely and responsibly, following operating procedures and instructions from the Superintendent.
• Ensure maintenance notifications in SAP are correctly executed, verifying details such as functional location, malfunction description, damage code, priority, and hazards.
• Participate in pre-work visits with Maintenance and Contractors to identify risks.
• Prepare and hand over work permit documents to the team.
• Assist in planning maintenance or process shutdowns and turnarounds, defining scope and prioritizing notifications.
• Participate in daily maintenance meetings, sharing plans to ensure equipment readiness.
• Contribute to updating the weekly maintenance schedule based on notifications and analysis.
• Ensure equipment readiness for maintenance and return to operations post-maintenance.
• Manage routine testing and preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Prioritize maintenance activities to ensure reliability and operational continuity.
• Fulfill work permit precautions and conditions, maximizing safety practices through communication and site visits.
• Coordinate with support departments for maintenance activities.
• Conduct risk assessments and participate in unusual operational or maintenance activities.
• Support achievement of routine maintenance KPIs related to reliability, planning, and scheduling.
• Maintain updated procedures and schedules for special operations.
• Minimize forced tags & bypasses during operation through proper planning, following SIF procedures.
• Support plant technical capability development through coordination with regional and global teams.
• Coach and motivate operations team members to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and train top-performing personnel, fostering teamwork, open communication, and results orientation.
• Maintain close working relationships with engineering and maintenance staff for continuous monitoring and evaluation of plant systems.
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis, implementing sustainable corrective actions.
• Act as the Single Point of Contact for internal issues, representing APQ and coordinating resources.
• Promote operations excellence and customer satisfaction through productivity, reliability, quality, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
