Position: Assistant Procurement Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for all procurement activities, including planning annual procurement requirements, creating detailed requirements specifications for products/services, tendering with potential suppliers, evaluating bids, and negotiating prices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Improve procurement procedures and achieve procurement goals within your area of responsibility.
  2. Review purchase requisitions to ensure completeness of the procurement process.
  3. Approve purchase orders as per the authority matrix.
  4. Prequalify bidders, prepare tender documents, and evaluate bids to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  5. Coordinate with departments to determine current and future needs for equipment, services, and materials.
  6. Evaluate quotations based on price, specifications, delivery, past experience, and other factors.
  7. Manage the purchasing process, including requisitions and purchase orders.
  8. Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best offers within required timelines.
  9. Research and identify suppliers that meet company goals.
  10. Analyze data to support decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in procurement or a similar role.
  • Understanding of procurement and purchasing procedures.
  • Experience in preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and supplier selection.
  • Knowledge of supplier contracts and negotiation skills.
  • Effective communication and attention to detail.
  • Skills in budget management and strategic planning.
  • Strong relations management, problem-solving, and proactive attitude.
  • Honest, helpful, flexible, and focused.
