Assistant Manager - Technology Procurement

As the Assistant Manager - Technology Procurement, you will oversee the procurement processes for technology-related products and services. This role requires a strategic approach to sourcing and contract management, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead procurement initiatives for technology needs, including drafting and managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and negotiating vendor contracts.
- Analyze and evaluate proposals from technology vendors to select suitable partners that meet organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify technology procurement needs, ensuring timely delivery aligned with project timelines.
- Monitor market trends in technology to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for value addition.
- Build and maintain relationships with technology suppliers, fostering collaboration and consistent service delivery.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly to ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards, addressing issues promptly.
- Implement performance metrics for suppliers and recommend improvements as needed.
Financial Oversight and Reporting:
- Manage budgets for technology procurement, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial strategy alignment.
- Develop and present reports on procurement activities, expenditures, and savings to support strategic decisions.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings within the procurement framework to optimize resources.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in technology sectors or large projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; a Master’s degree or certifications in procurement are advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with proven vendor negotiation and contract management experience.
- Experience with procurement software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach across departments.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a significant advantage.
- Knowledge of the Saudi Arabian market and local business customs is preferred.
