Assistant Information Technology Manager
As Assistant Information Technology Manager, you’ll ensure our computers are installed properly, working efficiently, and that system security measures are in place. You’ll also install new systems to improve hotel efficiency, always following standards and guidelines, and make sure your teams have the tools and resources they need to work well.
Your day-to-day
As the primary contact for servicing computer hardware, you’ll manage and monitor all computer hardware and ensure systems are installed properly and functioning efficiently. Keep up to date with all approved systems and technology including:
Maintain an up-to-date list of all computer hardware and software (Inventory). Monitor system performance and maintain logs. Understand all standards and customized features of the Hotel front office system. Ensure backups are completed, documented, and stored per specifications. Maintain data and physical security standards. Control security for the computer room, ensuring fire protection, temperature control, and power requirements meet specifications. Administer user IDs, passwords, and sensitive system utilities under supervision. Maintain technical and user documentation, system reports, newsletters, and announcements. Follow up on outstanding points from the latest IT audit. Train employees for responsibility during IT staff absence. Ensure routine maintenance of IT equipment complies with policies. Investigate and report software problems, and recommend solutions for disaster recovery and business continuity. Evaluate and advise on technology lifecycle, hardware/software refresh. Configure systems properly, run inventory checks, and report status. Inspect network performance, redesign if necessary, and ensure documentation is current. Take preventive measures for system issues. Ensure cabling, diagrams, and SOPs are up-to-date. Collaborate on budget management, vendor evaluation, and procurement. Assist in preparing departmental budgets.

This role performs professional accounting duties for a large full-service hotel or a group of hotels, serving as a middle-level professional position in hotel accounting.
