Purpose


As a Restaurant Assistant General Manager, you will lead and manage a dynamic team, ensuring the seamless operation of the hotel’s All-Day Dining or Fine Dining Restaurant. Your responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing, and supervising team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences and uphold high service standards. Proficiency in Arabic is highly preferred to enhance communication with Arabic-speaking guests.


Main Tasks and Responsibilities


  • Manage, coach, and develop employees.
  • Be visible in operations, recognize staff achievements, promote good public relations, and handle guest concerns or special requests.
  • Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the F&B Restaurant Manager.
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, and inventory management.
  • Attend operational meetings for coordination between departments.
  • Follow up on service procedures to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Supervise the consistency of food and service quality.
  • Interview, select, supervise, discipline, and evaluate employees.
  • During busy periods, perform tasks of Server, Food Runner, or Bartender as needed.
  • Schedule staff and manage payroll in accordance with budgets.
  • Train, motivate, and lead staff to meet cultural and service standards; participate in strategic planning.
  • Monitor reservations to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Maintain full knowledge of the menu, products, prices, and all hotel facilities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends relevant to the restaurant concept.
  • Regularly assess and improve staff service skills and product knowledge.
  • Ensure excellent product quality at a fair price.
  • Maintain the restaurant’s concept and reputation in the community.
  • Ensure food quality, ingredient standards, and expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegant environment.
  • Observe and maintain the condition of facilities and equipment, recommending improvements.
  • Forecast workloads and plan staff schedules accordingly.
  • Support the Area Manager in planning, organizing, and controlling restaurant operations to ensure guest satisfaction.
