Job Summary

Assists in leading the property's segmented sales efforts (e.g., group, transient, association, corporate) and helps implement segment sales strategies to meet revenue, guest satisfaction, and employee satisfaction goals. Focuses on building long-term, value-based customer relationships and achieving personal booking goals.

Candidate Profile
Education and Experience
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field; 3 years of experience in sales and marketing or related area.
  • OR 4-year bachelor's degree in the same fields; 1 year of relevant experience.
Core Work Activities
Developing & Executing Sales Strategies
  • Collaborate with sales leaders to understand and implement sales strategies.
  • Assist in developing and executing aggressive solicitation programs.
  • Create and implement sales plans addressing revenue, customers, and market segments.
  • Support the development of promotions.
Maximizing Revenue
  • Lead by example with personal booking goals.
  • Recommend booking goals for team members.
Managing Sales Activities
  • Approve space release for catering in the absence of a Business Evaluation Manager.
  • Participate in sales calls to acquire or close new business.
  • Support operational aspects of booked business.
Analyzing & Reporting
  • Use sales systems to analyze market info and implement strategies.
  • Assist with accurate projections and review guest satisfaction results for improvements.
Customer Service
  • Lead in guest hospitality and customer service standards.
  • Engage with guests for feedback and satisfaction during pre- and post-event meetings.
  • Empower employees to deliver excellent service.
Building Relationships
  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with off-property sales channels.
  • Attend events and trade shows to build key relationships.
