Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Credit Manager to support the credit and collections functions. The role involves evaluating credit applications, monitoring outstanding accounts, assisting in risk assessments, and ensuring timely collection of receivables while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in evaluating and processing credit applications based on company policies and risk guidelines.

  • Support the Credit Manager in setting credit limits and payment terms for new and existing customers.

  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and identify overdue accounts.

  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and coordinate with clients for payment collection.

  • Prepare credit reports and aging analysis for management review.

  • Assist in resolving customer disputes and billing issues in coordination with sales and customer service teams.

  • Maintain accurate records of credit approvals, customer profiles, and collection efforts.

  • Help identify and mitigate credit risk through data analysis and industry insights.

  • Ensure compliance with internal credit control procedures and relevant financial regulations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 24 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or financial analysis.

  • Strong understanding of credit principles, financial statements, and risk assessment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the banking, financial services, or B2B sector.

  • Familiarity with credit scoring systems and financial risk modeling.

  • Professional certifications such as CICM, CPA, or CMA are a plus.
