Job description

Job Summary:

To provide specialized services for the diagnosis and management of diseases under the scope of care of the related specialty.

Principal Duties:

• Perform the professional duties of a specialist in accordance with the delineation of the scope of care and privileges as recommended by the Chief of department and approved by the Credentials Committee.
• Perform duties in the outpatient clinical according to CPP of KFMC OPD.
• Provide the needed care to patients in ward.
• Provide the needed procedures according to the privileging.
• Provide consultation services to the in and outpatient services in area of expertise.
• Share the on-call duties as per the duty schedule according to KFMC CPP.
• Assure performing medical documentation and charting in a legible and professional way to supervise the documentation of the rest of the team.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and patients.
• Provide patient and family education according to patient's status and needs.

Educational Requirements:

• MD or PhD in Epidemiology
• Successful completion of three (3) years or more of specialty residency program recognized by SCHS and acceptable to KFMC as Assistant position.
• Certification by the appropriate specialty board recognized by SCHS (Saudi Commission for Health Specialties) and acceptable to KFMC for an Assistant position.
• Specialty training and post certification experience equal to or greater than four (4) years

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of three (3) years experience after the highest degree obtained
