Job Description



Job Summary:



To provide specialized services for the diagnosis and management of diseases under the scope of care of the related specialty.

Principal Duties:

  1. Perform the professional duties of a specialist in accordance with the delineation of the scope of care and privileges as recommended by the Chief of department and approved by the Credentials Committee.
  2. Perform his/her duties in the outpatient clinical according to CPP of KFMC OPD.
  3. Provide the needed care to his/her patients in ward.
  4. Provide the needed procedures according to the privileging.
  5. Provide consultation services to the in and outpatient services in his/her area of expertise.
  6. Share the on-call duties as per the duty schedule according to KFMC CPP.
  7. Assure performing medical documentation and charting in a legible and professional way to supervise the documentation of the rest of the team.
  8. Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and patients.
  9. Provide patient and family education according to patient's status and needs.

Educational Requirements:


MD or PhD in Epidemiology. Successful completion of three (3) years or more of specialty residency program recognized by SCHS and acceptable to KFMC as Assistant position. Certification by the appropriate specialty board recognized by SCHS (Saudi Commission for Health Specialties) and acceptable to KFMC for an Assistant position. Specialty training and post-certification experience equal to or greater than four (4) years.

Experience Requirements:


Minimum of three (3) years experience after the highest degree obtained.
