Job description

As an Assistant Chief Engineer, you play a key role in supporting the Head of Engineering in overseeing the maintenance and operational aspects of the hotel's physical infrastructure.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive engineering and maintenance strategies to ensure the efficient operation of the hotel's facilities.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to plan and execute preventive maintenance programs, minimizing equipment downtime and extending the lifespan of systems.
  • Support the management of the engineering department's budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
  • Work closely with the Head of Engineering to supervise and guide the engineering team, providing training and performance assessments.
  • Coordinate with other departments to address their technical needs and provide assistance for various events and activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, promoting a secure and sustainable working environment.
  • Assist in evaluating and recommending upgrades or improvements to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, implementing corrective actions to minimize disruptions to hotel operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment, repairs, and maintenance activities for reporting and auditing purposes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in engineering technology, incorporating best practices into the hotel's operations.
  • Uphold environmental, health, and safety standards in alignment with organizational policies.
