Responsible for all hotel accounting and financial controls as outlined in Fraser Suites Riyadh’s accounting standards manual. Administer and manage general accounting activities, and prepare reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial results.
What you’ll be doing as an Assistant Chief Accountant :
- Oversee accounting functions and verify daily banking against bank receipts and General Cashier reports.
- Check daily cash flow to ensure efficient capital use and meet business requirements; review General Cashier reports.
- Follow up on deposit delays and returned checks; assist in monthly reconciliation of all hotel bank accounts.
- Maintain the general ledger, including posting, adjusting, and printing; ensure proper accounting records based on the Uniform System of Accounts.
- Reconcile all Balance Sheet accounts monthly.
- Lead the accounting team in the absence of the Finance Manager.
- Maintain documentation for audit purposes.
- Assist in preparing the financial budget for Fraser Suites Riyadh.
- Manage the fixed asset register and implement controls over asset movement and disposal.
Purchasing:
- Control custody, usage, routing, and authorization of purchase orders, including numerical control.
- Prepare price comparisons and select suppliers, conducting ongoing market surveys for location, price, quality, and delivery time.
- Search for alternative suppliers and stay informed about market conditions.
- Delegate assignments and supervise subordinates.
- Follow up with suppliers on delivery times and address department complaints or comments.
Human Capital:
- Assist the finance team in achieving individual and departmental goals.
- Coordinate with external auditors as required.
- Conduct performance appraisals for direct reports according to company guidelines.
- Manage timesheets and leave requests in accordance with company policies.
What we’re looking for :
- Degree in accountancy and CPA certification.
- Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in hotel finance, with knowledge of UAE financial regulations.
- Proficiency in ACCPAC, SAP, HIS Epitome, Microsoft Office, Vingcard, and related hospitality software.
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to multitask, work under time constraints, and independently.
- High ethical standards, honesty, and integrity.
- Ability to meet deadlines and implement new business practices.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple projects.
- Adaptability to change.
