Assistant Banquet Manager



Ensures meeting and event spaces are set up according to event documentation (Banquet Event Orders, resumes, etc.) and client specifications. Leads shifts and actively participates in event service to ensure seamless execution. Upholds and enforces all standards, policies, and procedures (Core Deliverables, SOPs, etc.). Assists in managing function room amenities (e.g., pads, pens, candy, water service) and other controllable supplies. Attends and contributes to key meetings, including Daily Stand-Ups, BEO meetings, staff briefings, forecasts, and interdepartmental discussions. Participates in pre-event and pre-convention meetings to understand group requirements. Communicates critical event details to the Banquet, Event Services, and Event Technology teams. Conducts pre-event room inspections to ensure all setups align with specifications. Delegates tasks effectively to ensure timely and accurate event setups in accordance with Event Management Standards. Ensures team awareness of the Event Satisfaction Survey and Guest Satisfaction Scores. Maintains attendance records for Banquet, Event Service, and Event Technology employees. Oversees departmental inventories, ensuring optimal par levels and proper equipment maintenance. Orders necessary supplies, including china, glassware, silverware, buffet equipment, and other service essentials. Develops staff schedules based on forecasts and service standards, optimizing efficiency and profitability. Utilizes banquet beverage tools to assist the Banquet Beverage Supervisor in cost control, inventory management, and requisitioning. Implements brand-specific meeting services programs per Brand Standards. Supports the Event Technology/Audio-Visual team as needed to enhance guest experience. Collaborates with the Event Planning team to ensure flawless event execution.

Qualifications & Skills



Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2–3 years in banquet operations, food & beverage management, or event coordination, preferably in a hospitality or luxury setting.
