• Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Professional Experience:
  • Total Experience: 15+ years (or 13+ in petrochemical/refining).
  • Leadership: At least 3 years in a team leadership role.
  • Industry Background: Strong exposure to maintenance, projects, and technical support in petrochemical or chemical environments.
  • Senior Engineer Role: 7+ years in senior capacity within the candidate's technical discipline.
• Certifications (Preferred/Required by Discipline):
  • Corrosion & Inspection: API 510/570/653, NACE or ICorr, AWS Inspector, API 579/580.
  • Electrical: Familiarity with ETAP, NFPA codes, and expertise in high- and low-voltage systems.
  • Reliability: CMRP, CRE, ISO Vibration Cat. 3.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of international standards: API, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, NACE.
  • Proficient in discipline-specific software and engineering tools.
  • Experienced in reliability strategies, asset management, failure analysis, and design optimization.
  • Excellent coaching, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Task Description:
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Strategic Leadership: Drive engineering discipline strategy, ensuring reliable equipment performance and operational support.
    • Safety & Compliance: Lead audits and investigations, ensuring all operations comply with safety and regulatory standards.
    • Technical Expertise: Provide advanced support in problem-solving, failure analysis, design review, and troubleshooting.
    • Engineering Oversight: Oversee all design stages from concept through construction and assess design proposals and vendor performance.
    • Process Improvement: Develop methodologies to improve engineering quality, safety, and reliability. Lead standardization and best practice implementation.
    • Mentoring: Train and support junior engineers; foster professional development within the team.
    • Continual Learning: Stay current with engineering codes, technologies, and industry practices.
• Specialized Discipline Tasks (one or more):
  • Civil & Structural: Analyze soils, materials, and design infrastructure using software like STAAD Pro, RISA, etc.
  • Corrosion & Inspection: Lead RBI programs, failure investigations, and ensure mechanical integrity of equipment.
  • Electrical: Maintain ETAP models, manage power system studies and protection relay coordination.
  • Reliability: Develop reliability strategies (SAMS/PAMS/ERS), lead RAM analysis, and manage tools like Meridium, System 1.
