Job description

The opportunity

To build and assemble GIS components & modules into complete bays and perform routine tests through a lean & flow production line with outstanding performance, targeting the best quality, maximum cost savings, and shortest delivery time. Control the quality of GIS, contribute actively to improving the manufacturing process, and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Fulfilling orders related work packages according to production data and instructions given by assigned foremen.
  • Performing assembly and repair activities according to the prepared work instructions, drawings, bill of materials, checklists, guidelines, and customer order data.
  • Performing and participating in routine tests of GIS assembled units as well as the components and modules according to the prepared work instructions, drawings, checklists, guidelines, and customer order data.
  • Targeting the best performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery time.
  • Self-check of work packages’ results, filling out and confirming on assigned checklists and protocols.
  • Supporting the gathering of product improvement comments/feedback from the GIS LSC (Local Service Center) engineers.
  • Proper handling of factory equipment and tools, maintaining equipment, and ensuring proper continuous calibration.
  • Actively supporting teamwork, effectively communicating, and collaborating with internal customers, stakeholders, or colleagues (assembly, testing, logistics, etc.).
  • Following factory rules and guidelines related to safety, quality, environment, recycling, and housekeeping independently.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to Hitachi Energy HSE guidelines and reporting irregularities.
  • Contributing to continuous process improvement and Lean culture.
  • Providing feedback, sharing ideas, and observations whenever possible.
  • Carrying out any tasks assigned by management necessary to fulfill the job requirements.

Your background
  • A Diploma in electrical engineering is required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a production facility (assembly & testing).
  • Understanding of the lean concept & minimizing all 7 related wastes.
  • Ability to read and precisely understand technical drawings and material lists.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
