Assembly Technician

General Responsibilities

3. Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and safeguard LIN SCAN trade secrets.

6. Act in such a manner that LIN SCAN’s reputation is highly respected.
7. Be results-oriented; alert others timely when a task may not produce the required result for LIN SCAN’s final product.
8. Follow LIN SCAN’s Process Flow Charts and interact with other departments when required.
9. Assure timely and accurate reporting to LIN SCAN IT Department.
10. Identify training requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. To be able to read drawings.
2. To perform assembly of mechanical parts as per the drawings.
3. To be able to disassemble and reassemble tools, machines, and equipment to perform required inspections, maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and other similar activities.
4. To determine project plans at the beginning of jobs.
5. To determine the best fabrication solutions.
6. To ensure that shift changes occur smoothly with no or minimal interruption to equipment uptime.
7. To communicate the safety program and instructions to the shop floor.
8. Respect fellow employees and supervisor.
9. Make sure the correct drawing is followed.

Skills

1. High school diploma or a GED.
2. Minimum 1-5 years’ experience in the same field, preferably oil & gas industry.
3. Basic reading, listening, speaking, and problem-solving skills.
4. Manual dexterity, physical strength, and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
5. Good color discernment and color vision.
6. Good computer skills, as well as knowledge of manufacturing reporting software.
7. Industry-related engine and compressor factory training and/or certification required.
8. Good social skills with the ability to communicate clearly.
9. Good written and verbal communication skills (in English - desirable).
10. Creative, critical, and curious.
