What you will do

The Area Sales Manager role reports to the Territory Sales Director, Middle East & Africa. You will be part of the Fire Suppression team, working to improve Tyco’s market position, achieve financial growth, define strategic goals, build customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and find potential new customers in the Saudi Arabian region.

You will be based in Riyadh or Jeddah, focusing on existing distributor channels, opening new accounts, and developing strategic plans to increase sales volume. Your role involves operating within Indirect Products Distribution through channel partners, collaborating with sales teams, contractors, consultants, and customers to promote growth and increase sales opportunities to maximize revenue. You will work in a vibrant environment that leverages your experience to meet business objectives in the Middle East and Africa region.

How you will do it

As an Area Sales Manager, you will utilize your technical expertise in Fire Suppression products to generate new channel accounts, forecast and develop annual sales plans, explore market opportunities, and implement strategies to maximize margins and increase market share. Your focus will be on building relationships with key partners and customers, supporting sales activities, and following up on new business opportunities with channel partners.

Approximately 50% of your time will be dedicated to demand creation, working with engineering influencers, Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), and end users/owners.

  • Strong technical communication and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of whole life ownership of products.
  • Ability to build relationships with technical stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Strategic thinking to align technical benefits with business outcomes.

You will also prepare reports by collecting quantitative data to analyze market trends, competitive landscape, product gaps versus market demands, sales growth, customer satisfaction, and go-to-market strategies.

You are a proactive, self-motivated individual who enjoys working independently to grow your territory. You are perseverant, tenacious, and consistent, with excellent planning, organization, and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.

Required

  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales or Demand Creation, preferably in the Special Hazards fire protection sector.
  • Proficient in managing and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to develop and execute sales strategies and plans.
  • Diligent, results-driven, with a strong sales drive and continuous performance improvement.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Arabic language skills are preferred.
