To support our business growth, we are hiring an Area Sales Leader based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Job Description
The Area Sales Leader is responsible for the commercial development and sales turnover within a defined area. This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The primary goal is to develop commercial activity across existing market segments and to target new segments. Marketing responsibilities are shared with the General Manager. Direct client contact and physical presence are essential.
Sales Responsibilities
- Ensure profitable sales growth and enhance company brand recognition in the area.
- Manage sales agreements with clients, serve existing accounts, and build long-term relationships with municipalities, local ministries, and the private sector to increase revenues.
- Actively prospect for new business opportunities.
- Create, monitor, and revise lead generation plans to maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Plan and conduct complex negotiations, often over long sales cycles (one year or more), to secure long-term agreements.
- Identify, develop, and close new sales opportunities.
- Prioritize new client opportunities and develop strategies for solution implementation and growth.
- Prepare bids and tenders, especially with government entities, and establish trading terms.
- Develop regional sales budgets and action plans.
- Track results and implement strategies with clear targets, in collaboration with the Area Sales Manager.
Marketing Responsibilities
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company's solutions, features, and benefits.
- Analyze market needs and opportunities, determine product range, and approach.
- Participate in the development of new products and services.
- Contribute to communication strategies.
- Implement the company’s long-term vision aligned with Group strategy.
People Management
- Lead, manage, develop, and motivate department staff.
- Manage the network of sales personnel and motivate colleagues to achieve sales targets.
- Coach the team with clear targets and evaluate performance based on results.
Qualifications
Education: Master’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Geography, Sales, Business, or related fields.
Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience in the lighting industry within KSA.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Languages: English (B2 level) and local language.
- Customer-oriented sales approach.
- Results-driven mindset.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills (written and oral).
- Deep knowledge of the market, competition, and the lighting industry (including paysagiste, architect, bureau d’études).
