Job description

This is a seasoned salesperson who meets all job requirements and is capable of functioning under minimal supervision.

Needs to be an expert on the commodities/type of customer assigned. This position is not only responsible for selling the company s products but also acts as a strategic account manager for each account assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Proposes and develops the commercial strategy for each customer defined in his portfolio
  • Plans to establish and maintain major account relationships.
  • Establish and build strong client relationships over time that allow for continuity and ongoing representation with the customer base
  • Monitors competitors activity in each account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and communicated.
  • Visit / Contact customers: Present the products/services of the Company; Present our service offerings, which go beyond just selling Ocean freight and include, but are not limited to, Road freight services and various digital products from our portfolio
  • Follow up and ensure the customers don t exceed their assigned finance credit limit
  • Custom centricity and problem-solving skills required to manage & grow customer portfolio

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent
  • Experience of 3-5 years in shipping or related industry
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Able to work well with others and follow guidelines
  • Receptive and able to grasp new ideas and drive for personal development
