Reports to: Senior Manager Sales Execution

Overall Job Purpose

This is a seasoned salesperson who meets all job requirements and is capable of functioning under minimal supervision. The candidate needs to be an expert on the commodities/type of customer assigned. This position is responsible not only for selling the company’s products but also for acting as a strategic account manager for each assigned account.


Responsibilities
  1. Propose and develop the commercial strategy for each customer in the portfolio.
  2. Plan to establish and maintain major account relationships.
  3. Establish and build strong client relationships over time to ensure continuity and ongoing representation.
  4. Monitor competitors’ activity in each account and formulate appropriate response strategies.
  5. Visit/contact customers: Present the company’s products/services, including but not limited to ocean freight, road freight services, and digital products.
  6. Follow up to ensure customers do not exceed their assigned credit limits.
  7. Apply customer-centric and problem-solving skills to manage and grow the customer portfolio.
Qualifications
  • University degree or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in shipping or a related industry.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to work well with others and follow guidelines.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Receptive to new ideas and driven for personal development.
