Job description

The Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (YASREF) Ltd., a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec), is a world-class, full-conversion refinery located in Yanbu Industrial City, covering about 5.2 million square meters. It produces approximately 400,000 barrels per day (bpd) of Arabian heavy crude oil to generate premium transportation fuels and high-value refined products for international and domestic markets.

YASREF enhances Saudi Aramco's downstream portfolio and strengthens its strategic partnership with Sinopec, combining expertise to facilitate the trade of transportation fuels between energy producer and consumer. It also advances the strategies of both companies to expand further downstream activities, capturing additional value along the hydrocarbon chain.

The role involves guiding, managing, and administering daily refinery operations to ensure activities align with priorities such as profit, safety, health, reliability, security, and environmental standards. It requires effective communication across various organizations and stakeholders.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Develop and supervise annual operational plans, enhancing business processes, procedures, policies, and controls for compliance and effectiveness.
2. Identify staffing needs, promote Saudization, and ensure staff skills development through training.
3. Establish and monitor KPIs, promote a safety culture, and ensure regulatory compliance with HSE standards.
4. Oversee HSE programs and continuous improvement of safety processes.
5. Ensure effective, efficient, and safe daily operations, maximizing profit and reliability.
6. Coordinate production schedules to meet capacity and quality standards.
7. Develop strategies and business plans, ensuring process parameters meet product specifications.
8. Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and improve unit reliability.
9. Manage marine ship movements to ensure timely delivery and quality.
10. Maintain chemical supplies for operations and evaluate technical modifications.
11. Facilitate communication among operational units to ensure smooth processes.
12. Participate in daily operational meetings, addressing issues proactively.
13. Manage departmental projects to meet performance targets.
14. Monitor employee health and ensure compliance with industry standards.
15. Support safety and environmental standards through team coordination and maintenance planning.
16. Lead operational review meetings and ensure issues are addressed promptly.
17. Implement environmental procedures to reduce waste and manage emergency preparedness.
18. Identify risks early, plan accordingly, and develop subordinates for growth.
19. Ensure operations adhere to HSSE standards and lead emergency responses as per ERP.
20. Engage regularly with the team to foster a healthy work environment.
