Area Manager, Operations

Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (YASREF) in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Refinery Operations Manager. The role involves guiding, managing, and administering daily refinery operations to ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental standards, and operational priorities such as profit and security. The manager will oversee effective and safe daily work, facilitate communication among stakeholders, and lead strategic planning and operational excellence.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Develop and supervise annual operational plans aligned with organizational goals, improving business processes and ensuring compliance with standards.
2. Identify staffing needs, achieve Saudization targets, and ensure staff training and development.
3. Establish and monitor KPIs, promote HSE culture, and ensure regulatory compliance and safety training.
4. Oversee HSE programs, monitor continuous improvement, and ensure safe and efficient operations to maximize profit and reliability.
5. Coordinate production scheduling, optimize plant capacity, and manage process parameters for quality and compliance.
6. Ensure timely marine shipments and manage chemical supplies to maintain smooth operations.
7. Participate in strategy development, oversee project execution, and maintain safety and environmental standards.
8. Lead incident investigations, implement corrective actions, and enhance plant reliability.
9. Manage communication across units, participate in daily and weekly operation reviews, and ensure issue resolution.
10. Support emergency response efforts, manage safety and environmental programs, and minimize operational risks.
11. Foster a healthy work environment through regular engagement and support for team development.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Process, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, with at least 16 years of relevant experience.
