DESCRIPTION

Do you want to be part of a newly formed organization that is designing and launching new business models across AMET? If so, Ultra Fast Groceries is looking for a highly experienced operations manager for the role of Operations leader to launch and scale Ultra Fast service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for Last Mile Operations and select other cross-functional start-up activities, championing, challenging, and sometimes signing off on network standards, executing assigned pre-launch tasks, and being accountable for building results from launch until the sustained phase. They will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable leading large, complex facility projects. They will have a true hands-on approach, strong project management skills, and be an effective communicator. Post-launch, the leader will transition from a project management role to lead the Last Mile Operations.

To succeed in this position, you need to be comfortable interfacing and driving various functional teams, including finance, business, HR, operations, real estate, projects, and procurement, at all levels of the organization. An open mind, drive, ambition, and the ability to deal with ambiguity will help you stay innovative within our culture.

Key job responsibilities

1. Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing.
2. Analyze and implement corrective actions to ensure quality, productivity, and SLAs are consistently high, and business objectives are met across all shifts.
3. Support and lead a team while handling administrative work and fostering a strong team culture.
4. Analyze performance and suggest process improvements to optimize work and enhance customer service.
5. Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes.
6. Manage the performance of DSP (delivery service partners).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
