WSP are looking for an experienced Architectural Design Reviewer to join our team for a major airport infrastructure project in Riyadh. The role involves reviewing and validating architectural design submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements, regulatory standards, and best practices in airport design. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in the aviation sector.

Your new role, what's involved

• Conduct detailed architectural design reviews, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local (SBC) and international codes (ICAO, IATA, NFPA, ADA, LEED, etc.).
• Assess design submissions for functionality, aesthetics, accessibility, sustainability, and constructability.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to improve design quality and resolve conflicts.
• Identify and address potential design risks, clashes, and integration issues with other disciplines (structural, MEP, and civil).
• Collaborate with airport authorities, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure design alignment with operational requirements.
• Evaluate value engineering proposals and innovative design solutions to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee BIM coordination and digital design review processes to enhance design integration.
• Support the approval process, coordinating with regulatory bodies and ensuring smooth documentation flow.
• Assist in resolving technical queries and modifications during the construction phase.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years of experience in architectural design and review, preferably in airport or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of airport terminal planning, passenger flow, wayfinding, and security considerations.
• Proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, and other visualization tools.
• Experience in sustainable design principles (LEED, Estidama, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of fire and life safety, accessibility, and aviation regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify design deficiencies and propose practical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
