Job summary

Saudi Business Machines Limited is seeking an Associate IT Clinical Applications Analyst to implement and maintain the organization’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) and related medical systems in a full-time, in-person role in Saudi Arabia.

You will work on configuring, supporting, and optimizing clinical applications, provide end-user training, and ensure compliance with regulatory and cybersecurity policies while collaborating with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, configure, maintain, support, monitor, and enhance medical applications to ensure they are fit for purpose and meet benefits.
  • Provide training and guidance to end users on the effective use and management of medical applications.
  • Ensure medical applications comply with best practices, regulatory requirements, governance programs, and cybersecurity policies.
  • Manage engagements with vendors to ensure service delivery meets scope, time, cost, and quality.
  • Investigate and resolve medical application-related incidents in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Fulfill medical application-related service requests in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate IT demand requests involving medical applications and support approved requests following the IT project management framework.

Job Description Summary

The Associate IT Clinical Applications Analyst is responsible for implementing and maintaining the organization’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and ancillary medical systems.

The role requires working knowledge of at least one relevant clinical or medical application and focuses on continuously optimizing applications to meet the evolving needs of the organization’s medical processes.

Operational Roles & Responsibilities
  • Implement, configure, maintain, support, monitor, and enhance the organization’s medical applications, including the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and other medical solutions, to ensure they are fit for purpose, reliable, efficient, effective, secure, and achieve their intended benefits for the organization.
  • Provide training and guidance to end users on the effective use and management of medical applications.
  • Ensure that medical applications comply with relevant:
    • Best practices
    • Regulatory requirements
    • Enterprise architecture standards
    • Governance programs
    • Cybersecurity policies
  • Manage engagements with contracted vendors for medical application support, managed services, or professional services to ensure that service delivery meets the targeted scope, time, cost, and quality constraints.
  • Investigate and resolve medical application-related incidents in compliance with the organization’s relevant policies and procedures.
  • Fulfill medical application-related service requests in compliance with the organization’s relevant policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate and process IT demand requests involving medical applications and support the fulfillment of approved requests in compliance with relevant policies and procedures and by following the organization’s IT project management framework.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a relevant field.
Experience
  • No minimum years of experience required.
  • Working knowledge of at least one relevant EHR or ancillary medical application is required.
Preferred Certifications

Certifications relevant to the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and/or ancillary medical systems adopted by the organization are preferred, including:

  • Certified Healthcare Technology Specialist (CHTS)
  • Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CAHIMS)
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS)
