AP ACCOUNTANT

Minimum Requirements:

• Accounting, Finance, or any related field. (CPA is highly recommended)
• Full time job

Responsibilities:

• Assembles, reviews, and verifies invoices and payment requests.
• Maintains copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files.
• Matches purchase orders to invoices and enters invoices into the system.
• Performs data entry associated with accounts payables.
• Compares purchase orders, prices, payment terms and other charges.
• Reviews and reconciles invoice discrepancies by clarifying questionable invoice items, prices, or signatures.
• Monitors all accounts to ensure payments are current and up to date.
• Verifies vendor/supplier accounts by maintaining their files and reconciling monthly statements.
• Audits and processes credit card bills.
• Collects the weekly payment requests from finance team, checks the availability of all required documents, and sends them to the finance manager.
• Prepares cheques to be signed by the authorized manager.

Job Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of proven experience in Accounts Payable, ideally in a similar industry.
• Familiarity with financial and accounting statements.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
• Excellent analytical and data entry skills.
• In-depth product knowledge.
• Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset.
• Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Ability to multi-task, meet firm deadlines, proactively prioritize needs, and effectively manage priorities.
• Confidentiality, compliance to instructions, adherence to all policies and procedures.
• English and Arabic are a must.
