Job Description

The department provides patients with excellent care by utilizing state-of-the-art anesthesia equipment and supplies. It offers highly trained professional staff in the operating room and other hospital areas requiring anesthesia services, assisting anesthesiologists with technical and medical support. The department handles more than 26 general anesthesia cases simultaneously each day.

The scope of services includes:

  • Handling 18 specialist rooms daily for various surgical services such as Neuro-surgery, Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedics, ENT, Head & Neck, Pediatric, Urology, Ophthalmology, Kidney & Liver Transplant.
  • Operating 4 Cardiac Operating Rooms and 4 Catheterization Labs.
  • Providing anesthesia for outlying area cases including Radiation, Angiography, MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Dental Clinic, Dermatology, Endoscopy, Ultrasonography, and Labor & Delivery.
  • Upcoming facilities with 2 Operation Rooms and MRI at KFNCCC&R.
Technological Advancements
  • Installation of new Primus anesthesia machines across various levels and labs, enhancing service quality.
  • Replacement of outdated anesthesia machines with latest technology in all outlying areas.
  • Implementation of full wireless hemodynamic monitoring compatible with MRI environments.
  • Designated carts for difficult intubation cases in multiple operating rooms and areas.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Certification/Diploma from a two-year program in Anesthesia Technology
  • Current certification with the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT)
  • Minimum two years of experience as an Anesthesia Technologist in a mid- to large-sized acute-care hospital in the USA, Canada, or UK.
