POSITION - AMMONIA GAS TECHNICIAN

Salary : Negotiable

Job Summary:

The Ammonia Refrigeration System Technician is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our large-scale ammonia refrigeration systems and associated equipment. This includes compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, and control systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to preventive maintenance, and an unwavering commitment to safety and regulatory compliance (including OSHA, EPA, and any local Saudi Arabian regulatory standards).

Qualifications & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial refrigeration, HVAC-R, or a related field is highly preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience operating, maintaining, and repairing industrial ammonia refrigeration systems in a manufacturing, food processing, cold storage, or similar environment.

Strong understanding of refrigeration principles, thermodynamics, and industrial mechanical and electrical systems.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.

Experience with various types of compressors (screw, reciprocating), condensers (evaporative), evaporators, pumps, and associated control systems (e.g., PLCs).

Familiarity with PSM, RMP, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.

Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and equipment.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex system issues effectively.

Safety Focus: A deep commitment to safety protocols and procedures, with a keen eye for identifying potential hazards.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous in performing maintenance tasks, inspections, and record-keeping.

Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with team members and supervisors.

Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other departments.

Adaptability: Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency situations.
