About The Role

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join our Ground Services team in Taif, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as Airport Services Manager.

Job Purpose

  • Ensure safe, secure, and cost-effective QR airport operations at the station to achieve regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and 5-star customer service.
  • Liaise with local Airport Handling Management to meet QR ground handling and customer service standards at all times.
  • Coordinate with Airport Authorities and all Government agencies at the station. Represent QR at the Airport AOC.
  • Manage and motivate the airport team. Collaborate with the Ground Services Management team and other departments.
Accountabilities

  • Evaluate alliance and airport passenger handling strategies affecting the station’s flight schedules.
  • Assess and plan manpower needs considering peaks, holidays, seasonal or additional flights.
  • Manage daily operations and serve as liaison between airport service providers, government agencies, authorities, and senior management.
  • Provide inputs and recommendations for service improvements and changes.
  • Act as the primary contact and liaison for all QR airport operations at the station.
  • Assist in responding to emergencies or major operational disruptions, including supporting the Qatar Airways Special Assistance Program.
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance service delivery standards.
  • Balance customer focus with company interests.
  • Coordinate with One World Carrier support during disruptions or crises.
  • Ensure Aircraft Turnaround Check (ATC) duties are performed to ensure safe ground operations.
  • Ensure aircraft cabin service doors are operated externally where applicable to reduce safety risks.
  • Perform other departmental duties as directed by the Head of Department.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need

  • Relevant College or University qualification, minimum Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in a managerial role.
  • Proven crisis management experience.
  • Participation in extensive airline-related training courses and skills gained.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of airline and airport operations.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Strong organizational, management, and report-writing skills.
  • Customer-focused with empathy towards customers.
  • Knowledge of program development, budgeting, and administration.
  • Managerial skills: delegation, clear direction, workflow management, mentoring, coaching, training, and fostering teamwork.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
