Job description

Grade: G2

Location: Tabuk, Saudi Arabia

BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements to provide equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia. We maintain Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel in a safe training environment on their aircraft, equipment, and weapons. The Electronic Combat (EC) Instructor is responsible for instructing RSAF Electronic Warfare students and developing, producing, and presenting courseware for the Electronic Warfare School (EWS) using Computer-Based Training (CBT), conventional methods, and the Advanced EC Simulator (AECS).

Job Purpose

Hawk Aircrew Instructors (AIs) report to the Hawk Aircrew Instructor Supervisor (AIS) and are responsible for:

  • Operating Aircrew Training Devices (ATD) consoles
  • Conducting T-165 Technical Ground School
  • Supporting supplementary aircrew training
  • Providing Human Factors and Flying Safety academics and support
  • Supporting Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals (IFF) and In-Kingdom Instructor (IKT) academics
  • Managing flying schedules
  • Performing various administrative tasks as directed by the AIS
Job Accountabilities

The AI must:

  • Receive training and maintain competency on Hawk T-165 Aircraft and Mission Systems, FMS, IPT, LMS, Flight Pro, and Human Factors, including Performance Coaching for select AIs
  • Deliver Officer and Aircrew Training (OAT) academic events, operate FMS or IPT consoles, develop courseware, manage documentation, and support scheduling and human factors training
Recruitment Specification
Essential
  • Ex-Military Instructional Aircrew with experience in a crewed environment
  • Qualifications such as QWI, QFI, QNI, IWSO, or equivalent instructor ground qualification
  • Ability to deliver clear lectures, briefs, and reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong English language skills (IELTS or equivalent)
Desirable
  • Instructional experience with RSAF or GCC personnel
  • Qualified Human Factors Facilitator or Instructor
  • Qualified Performance Coach
  • Experience with TMIS or Flight Pro, DSAT application, syllabus development, and familiarity with RSAF manuals and manuals
