Position requires a skilled structural mechanic with the ability to perform Planned Maintenance Interval Inspections (PMI), organizational, intermediate, and depot level maintenance on H-60 helicopters. This includes troubleshooting, testing, inspections, and repairs of hydraulic components, flight controls, pumps, landing gear, tires, hydraulic, pneumatic, and pressurized systems.
- Current or previous experience performing H-60 helicopter maintenance, including but not limited to:
- Performing maintenance and repair of major assemblies, subassemblies, hydraulic, pneumatic, and related systems.
- Inspecting, troubleshooting, fault detection, fault isolation, and corrective actions on hydraulic components and related systems.
- Responsible for all maintenance documentation, forms, records, and reports using appropriate references and publications, including the NAMP.
- Operating and maintaining all applicable ground support equipment. Identifying, using, and maintaining all common, special, and precision tools for power plant maintenance and repair.
- Providing On-the-Job-Training (OJT) for Saudi technicians and other personnel, maintaining training records accordingly.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- At least 8 years of current or previous experience performing complex helicopter mechanical work, including inspection, assembly/disassembly, repair, replacement, troubleshooting, rig checks, and testing of hydraulic components, airframes, landing gear, bridge assembly, and rotor head systems.
- Installing, adjusting, aligning, and performing final functional/operational tests on major aircraft systems, assemblies, and components such as hydraulic servos, pumps, rotor blades, and flight control systems.
- Disassembling and reassembling components/sub-systems, determining repairs needed, and completing checkout procedures to ensure proper operation.
- Visually inspecting components for corrosion, wear, and proper adjustments.
- Using a variety of precision measuring instruments, special tools, scales, test stands, and external power sources.
- Duties may include minor preservation tasks on various components and blades.
- Knowledge of the makeup, operation, installation, and adjustment of major interrelated aircraft systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, airframes, surface repair, and landing gear.
- Inspecting main mounts and tail wheel shocks, struts for damage, leaks, security, and proper lubrication.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
- Must pass a background check and drug test; may be required to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
