Description:
Responsible for performing duties as an Instrument Examiner in the AH-6i aircraft and supporting simulation device(s). Serve as primary trainer for the Instrument Examiners Course (IEC), the Aircraft Qualification Course (AQC), the Instructor Pilot Course (IPC), and provide continuation training and evaluation of customer pilots in accordance with approved Saudi Arabian Ministry of National Guard publications. Perform academic instruction and hands-on performance-based training and administer evaluations to ensure pilot proficiency and standardization of training. Manage the compliance of Individual Gradebook Folders and Individual Aircrew Training Folders (IATF) and complete required training, currency, and readiness entries. Supervise or support AH-6i aircraft-specific ground school-based training and instrument instruction in a classroom environment, aircraft, or flight training device(s). Flight instruction training duties include instrument examiner, instructor pilot, contact, basic instrument, and basic combat skills under Day, Night, and NVG conditions to MNG standards IAW approved ATM, CMP, and POI requirements. Instruction may include any combination of Individual or group instruction in an academic classroom environment and or aircraft or simulator.
Qualifications:
Must have an FAA Commercial or Airline Transport Pilot certificate or host country equivalent.
FAA Class II Flight Physical or host country equivalent required.
Must have been qualified as a Pilot in Command.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in a related field is beneficial.
Must be qualified in mission, type, design, and, if appropriate, series of aircraft or be able to be qualified upon hire.
Graduate of a course of instruction for Instructor Pilot at an authorized U.S. Army Aviation Proponent School or an IP equivalency evaluation
administered by a standardization instructor pilot (SP) selected by the Directorate of Evaluations and Standardization (DES) in the AH6i or similar aircraft (MD530, OH58D).
Graduate of the U.S. Army Aviation Proponent School or an equivalency Rotary Wing Instrument Flight Examiners Course (RWIFE).
Minimum 2500-hour total flight hours (Turbine Engine), of which a minimum of 500 hours as an SP/IP. Previous Instrument Examiner required. Minimum 50 hours as an IE and minimum of 100 hours combination of hood/weather. Previous NVG Instructor Pilot required. Minimum of 500 flight hours NVG. Previous NVG Instructor Pilot experience.
Knowledge of Army Aviation training concepts, administration, and logistics.
Demonstrated ability as lead pilot of a flight training organization.
Demonstrated past performance and experience in leading an organizational staff to achieve goals while developing and implementing organizational plans, policies, and operational procedures.
Ability to communicate both orally and written.
Ability to effectively deal with people in the supervision of staff and team members.
Ability to effectively communicate with the customer professionally and courteously.
Extensive ability to use Microsoft Products.
Medical Examination: Candidates must successfully complete all mandatory medical examinations required to obtain employment.
