Overview
The Aviation Ground Support Equipment (AGSE) Mechanic is a skilled professional responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of ground support equipment critical to aviation operations. In addition to core responsibilities, this position incorporates specialized tasks such as troubleshooting, inspecting, and performing unit-level maintenance on specific AGSE, including the Aviation Ground Power Unit (AGPU), Generic Aircraft Nitrogen Generator (GANG), and Standard Aircraft Towing System (SATS). This position plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of equipment essential for aircraft ground handling, maintenance, and overall aviation support. Moreover, this position is entrusted with sampling, processing, and evaluating AOAP samples submitted for AGSE equipment.
