Job Purpose
Maintain Airfield Lighting systems and components to required specifications and standards, focusing on safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability. Oversee site supervision, monitoring, and inspection of AGL and airport electrical systems. Design high-level electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs. Understand project controls, cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and manpower requirements for proposals, forecasts, and change orders. Maintain high customer satisfaction and support ENOVA’s business objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead a team in maintaining and installing all AFL electrical systems, including runway and apron lighting and support systems.
- Maintain computerized Airfield Lighting System to ICAO and international standards.
- Conduct daily routine checks of all Airfield Lighting Systems such as Approach, VASI, CCR, High Masts, and security fence lights.
- Apply broad engineering knowledge to airport operations and maintenance.
- Contribute to airfield engineering design, project delivery, and management when required.
- Supervise, monitor, and inspect AGL electrical substations and generators.
- Perform assignments independently with guidance from the Department Manager on complex problems.
- Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to team leaders, supervisors, and technicians.
- Assign and coordinate work, plan, schedule, and oversee engineering projects and programs.
- Ensure system quality and safety through regular checks.
- Carry out planned and predictive maintenance.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary efforts and effective communication on projects.
- Analyze data to plan and maintain installations.
- Participate in site visits to collect or deliver services.
- Operate engineering software and equipment for tasks and oversee small installations, maintenance, and testing activities.
- Inspect installations and operations to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and safety standards.
- Provide technical assistance on low/medium voltage equipment and motors/generators.
- Issue repair reports for critical jobs for documentation.
- Identify solutions to recurring electrical issues and improve equipment reliability.
- Adhere to HSEQ policies and procedures, ensuring workplace safety and compliance.
- Develop proactive relationships with authorities and identify service improvements.
Qualifications, Experiences, Skills
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (minimum 4 years).
- Knowledge of VDGS and AGL systems, including CAT-2 runway lighting, ALCMS, ILCMS, VDGS, and ASMGCS.
- Experience in facilities management of airports and large facilities (minimum 5 years).
- Madp holder and KSA driving license.
- Certification for AGL maintenance.
- Experience with MALMS and ALIS maintenance tools.
