Job summary

A leading engineering company is seeking an AFS Engineer in Jeddah to enhance departmental profit and ensure the effective installation and maintenance of equipment. The role involves providing technical support, conducting audits, and collaborating with customers to ensure service excellence. Ideal candidates will have a degree in engineering, strong customer service skills, and proficiency in both English and Arabic.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
  • Experience in a customer service role is beneficial.
  • Very good command of spoken and written English & Arabic.

Responsibilities

  • Increase profit of AFS department by promoting services and selling consumables.
  • Provide monthly reports and technical documentation to AFS Manager.
  • Perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Dextra equipment.

Job description

AFS ENGINEER DUTIES

  1. Increase profit of AFS department (Promote Service package, No FOC Spare part, Consumable selling, Consultant, Trip preparation)
  2. Provide Monthly report activities, Technical Reports, Equipment Audit Reports, Thread production report for all machines of responsible countries to AFS Manager – APAC.
  3. Provide Monthly E-ticket quantity of activity with responsible country (MTBF-MTRR-MTN COST).
  4. Identify recurrent equipment problems and transfer data to person in charge AFS Level 4 or Design Department.
  5. Provide Preventive Maintenance Schedule and actual for all Bartec Equipment to responsible countries.
Installation and commissioning of all Dextra equipment - Responsible country
  1. Perform a full audit of equipment condition on arrival at site.
  2. Provide recommendations on the location, positioning of the equipment, working racks, services, etc.
  3. Installation & commissioning of the equipment supplied from our workshops in Thailand and overseas.
  4. Provide operational training onsite, operation training certificate, all documents related to commissioning, and obtain copies of signed documents to AFS SharePoint (Follow AFS CPM04).
  5. Provide the list of recommendations on PM, spare parts & consumables stocks to customer.
  6. Provide Monthly E-training to customer, responsible by country.
  7. Perform E-commissioning where we have a consultant or customer who already has one.
Troubleshooting/Preventive Maintenance/Servicing Missions Audit customer
  1. Trouble Shooting - once E-ticket created, communicate with customer and provide remote troubleshooting. Once completed, provide the list of recommended spare parts.
  2. Provide Technical Service report to customer on problem, cause, repair, and any recommendations on elimination of the problem.
  3. Provide machine audit and operation audit (Customer audit form) to customer and for purpose of service package.
  4. Perform preventive maintenance (Level 3) on 100% of Dextra machines.
  5. Follow up on preventive maintenance (Corrective Maintenance), including purchasing items and logistics issues, ensuring proper fitting of parts.
  6. Maintain machines owned by Dextra according to Dextra standards, including audit reports and control to identify reasons for free of charge spare parts for rental machines.
  7. Conduct servicing missions and customer audits.
  8. Provide technical analysis and customer audit where necessary trips.

  3. Use and apply documents validated in our quality system.
  4. Understand the root cause of potential issues and use those experiences to improve.

  6. Always solve problems by identifying and eliminating root causes, rather than blaming individuals.
Collaboration and support worldwide
  1. Travel as requested by management.
  2. Support remote AFS activities.
  3. Complete additional tasks as directed by management.
Requirements
  1. At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  2. Experience in a customer service role is beneficial.
  3. Very good command of spoken and written English & Arabic.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  5. Ability to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision.
