Accuracy Control Manager

Purpose:

This position is responsible to design, build, lead, and manage the accuracy control team in the shipyard to maximize productivity by implementing and maintaining dimensional control standards and procedures in compliance with design specification and set quality.

Responsibilities:

• Develop the Accuracy Control strategies and management plan.
• Oversee the development and implementation of accuracy control standards and procedures.
• Oversee accuracy control across all stages of ship construction, from initial fabrication to final assembly.
• Review accuracy control data.
• Utilize statistical methods to identify and address root causes of dimensional inaccuracies at the shipyard level.
• Coordinate with design, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure the highest level of accuracy.
• Monitor and report on accuracy control performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Lead and mentor the accuracy control team, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Allocate resources effectively to ensure timely completion of accuracy control tasks.
• Foster a culture of precision and attention to detail within the team.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in accuracy control or quality assurance, 5 years of which in a leadership role.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in shipbuilding or a similar manufacturing industry.
• Experience in working with Class Societies and with International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) rules and regulation for new build.
• Experience in using Laser Scanner/Tracker, Total Station, Space Analyzer.
