The Sanitary Engineer seeks a full-time Accounts Receivable Clerk for the Sewer & Water Billing Division located at the main office, 791 W. Smith Road, Medina.
Responsibilities: Sorts, counts, batches and logs coded documents prior to data entry or after computer runs. Tabulates and balances records of documents being processed. Codes, edits and corrects documents. Coordinates and prepares documents for scheduling into utility billing system. Collects and balances cash payments and checks received by the department for various fees and enters into cash register. Performs general clerical tasks related to office work (e.g. Phone work, typing, filing & copy work). Requires driving a County vehicle to run errands, to post office and to other County offices, as warranted.
Requires a self-starter, highly motivated, detail-oriented, accurate, and dependable individual. Strong organizational, computer, and customer service skills are a must.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Accounting knowledge and/or accounting classes are helpful. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Hourly rate: $17.50
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m.– 4:30 p.m.
This is not a remote position.
