Job Overview

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company’s accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

As a successful candidate, you will:

• Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.
• Match purchase orders, goods receipt notes, and invoices to validate transactions before posting.
• Enter approved invoices into the accounting system on a timely basis.
• Prepare payment proposals and process approved payments (bank transfers, checks).
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with suppliers promptly.
• Monitor accounts payable aging reports and follow up on due or outstanding invoices.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities by ensuring all payables are recorded accurately.
• Maintain updated supplier master data in ERP systems, including bank details and tax information.
• Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing requested documentation and reports.
• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations, withholding tax rules, and other financial legal requirements related to vendor payments.

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate, you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Ability to work collaboratively and support team goals.
