Job description

As an Accountant Treasury, you will be responsible for handling all bank-related tasks, bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, collections, and legal financial affairs. Your role will also include managing legal actions against overdue customers, overseeing contract administration, and ensuring compliance with financial and legal policies. This position requires a strong background in banking affairs, financial principles, and treasury operations.

Role and Responsibilities

Treasury Management

  • Bank reconciliation and vendor reconciliation.
  • Updating documents, managing facility renewals, and requests.
  • Daily fund position monitoring.
  • Monthly Withholding Tax (WHT) calculations and payments.

Accounts Receivable & Legal Affairs

  • Manage legal actions for overdue customer payments.
  • Review customer contracts for compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate with external legal firms for debt recovery actions.
  • Provide monthly reports on legal cases, costs, and debt recoverability.
  • Advise on bad debt provisions and write-offs.
  • Prepare board resolutions for debt write-offs.

Legal Contract Administration

  • Maintain a register and digital library for all customer and supplier contracts.
  • Ensure contract renewals are tracked and reported monthly.
  • Advise on cost impacts of supplier contract renewals, including rental agreements.
  • Provide monthly rental payment forecasts for budgeting purposes.

Leased Assets & Maintenance Contracts

  • Maintain a register for all leased assets (MHE, vehicles, generators).
  • Report on the status and physical condition of leased assets.
  • Assist with lease terminations and contract renewals.
  • Maintain a register of maintenance contracts for fixed and leased assets.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in banking affairs and treasury operations.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, reporting, and legal compliance.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modelling tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
