Finance Manager
Main Duties/Responsibilities
- Oversee the full cycle of accounting operations for the heavy equipment rental business, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, to provide timely and accurate financial information to management.
- Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and credit control, to ensure timely payment from customers.
- Process and record all vendor invoices, expense reports, and other accounts payable transactions accurately and promptly.
- Maintain a comprehensive fixed asset register, tracking acquisition, depreciation, and disposal of heavy equipment and other assets.
- Reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and other balance sheet accounts regularly.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets, cash flow projections, and long-term financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control policies.
- Collaborate with operations and sales teams to provide financial analyses and support decision-making.
- Implement and maintain effective accounting procedures and internal controls to safeguard assets.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and address findings or recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and enhanced reporting.
- Provide training and guidance to the accounting team for accurate financial management.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Finance Manager and contribute to financial strategy development.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (CPA, CA, or equivalent).
Experience
- Minimum 5 years in accounting or financial analysis within heavy equipment rental or related industry.
- Expertise in full cycle accounting operations.
- Knowledge of industry-specific accounting practices, tax laws, and financial reporting.
