We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our Shared Service Finance team in Riyadh. This role will play a key part in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with Saudi laws and accounting standards, and supporting financial operations across transactional accounting, treasury, reporting, compliance, and procurement. The position requires attention to detail, financial and business acumen, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Transactional Accounting
Maintain accurate and compliant accounting records in accordance with KSA accounting standards, VAT, and tax laws.
Record financial transactions in Xero, including accounts payable, receivable, bank entries, and general ledger.
Perform weekly bank reconciliations and maintain inter-company accounting and reconciliations.
Process employee expense reimbursements and ensure compliance with internal policies.
Treasury and Reporting
Monitor short-term cash flow and collaborate with the Finance Director and Accounts Supervisor to manage liquidity and surplus funds.
Support the preparation of cash flow forecasts and weekly KSA summary reports.
Assist in collections communication in Arabic and coordinate cheque pickups when required.
Spend Management
Maintain procurement records and comply with reporting requirements for managed events.
Coordinate with operations and marketing teams to ensure expenditures align with approved budgets.
Support effective supplier relationship management.
Month-End Close and Audit
Assist with month-end and year end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue and expense recognition, and fixed asset accounting.
Prepare inter-company invoices and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
Support periodic VAT and WHT return preparation and actively participate at the year-end audit processes.
Compliance and Risk
Work with the Accounting and Admin Manager to monitor and improve internal controls, minimizing credit, financial, and regulatory risks.
Ensure compliance with Saudi tax and statutory reporting requirements, including electronic invoicing regulations.
Liaise with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
Ad-Hoc and General
Handle routine and ad-hoc finance tasks from clients, staff, and government authorities.
Continuously improve understanding of Beacon's finance systems, policies, and procedures.
Take on other ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
2+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within KSA.
Strong understanding of local tax, VAT, and compliance regulations.
Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Arabic and English language proficiency is essential for day-to-day business operations and client communications.
Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
