Job Description

Job Purpose

The main purpose of the Technician, AC position is to handle all kinds of A/C repairs, malfunctions, modifications and installations.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Repairs and maintenance of heavy equipment, trucks, and light vehicles A/C systems.
2. Diagnosis and repair basic electrical & mechanical components of the equipment.
3. Execute all workshop/field repairs and maintenance.
4. Travel to client’s locations and perform required maintenance activities.
5. Perform inspections on allocated cranes/equipment/trucks/light vehicles for repairs to ensure complete and progressive preventative maintenance.
6. Adhere to an inspection procedure checklist.
7. Ensure cleanliness of cranes workshop and work area.
8. Adhere to safe work procedures and complete risk assessments before commencing any work.
9. Identify parts for replacement and equipment for repairs.
10. Daily reporting to field service engineer regarding the status of allocated work.
11. Complete job reports and process paperwork.
12. Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the direct manager.

HSE Responsibility

1. Identify any Health, Safety or Environmental risks and recommend and implement measures to mitigate these risks.
2. Comply with established health and safety guidelines and procedures and ensure the health, safety and welfare of self and others.
3. Identify and report to management any Health, Safety or Environmental risks and make suggestions to address these risks.
4. Contribute to the QMS by implementing processes in accordance with their roles and responsibilities.
5. Participate in training programs to develop and maintain the necessary competence for their roles.
6. Follow documented procedures and work instructions relevant to their work.
7. Report any changes in their work environment or processes that could affect the conformity of AMHEC's products or services.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

1. High school technical diploma or equivalent.
2. Advanced Equipment AC repairs and troubleshooting skills.
3. 1-2 years of experience.
4. Basic electrical & mechanical knowledge.
