We are seeking a qualified and experienced Air Conditioning Technician to install, maintain, and repair HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems. The technician will ensure that all systems are operating efficiently and safely to provide optimal climate control in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install air conditioning systems, including ductwork, piping, wiring, and control systems.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with AC units, compressors, thermostats, and other system components.
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Refill and test refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Calibrate thermostats and ensure proper airflow and temperature control.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Maintain records of repairs, replacements, and maintenance activities.
- Comply with all safety and environmental guidelines, including use of PPE.
- Communicate with clients regarding system operations, issues, and maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or technical school certification in HVAC or refrigeration.
- Proven experience as an HVAC or Air Conditioning Technician.
- Valid HVAC technician license or certification (if required by local regulations).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, and refrigeration principles.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license (if field work is required).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with both split and central air conditioning systems.
- Knowledge of smart thermostats and energy-efficient systems.
- Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) and commercial HVAC controls.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, electrical components, and refrigerants.
