Job description

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated AC and Refrigeration Technician to join the Engineering team at Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and overall care of all air conditioning and refrigeration systems across the property. You will play a critical role during the pre-opening phase by supporting commissioning, snagging, and ensuring all cooling and refrigeration equipment is operational to Four Seasons' world-class standards.

What You Will Do
  1. Assist in the inspection, testing, and commissioning of all HVAC and refrigeration systems during the pre-opening phase to ensure operational readiness and compliance with specifications.
  2. Support snagging activities by identifying deficiencies in HVAC installations, reporting all issues in a timely manner.
  3. Carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on guest room air conditioning units, split units, ventilation systems, walk-in freezers, refrigerators, ice machines, and kitchen cold equipment.
  4. Ensure proper functioning of Building Management Systems (BMS) related to HVAC operations, including temperature controls and energy efficiency programs.
  5. Monitor HVAC systems and refrigeration units to detect potential failures and optimize energy consumption.
  6. Perform regular inspections of filters, coils, motors, belts, and all HVAC components, replacing parts as needed.
  7. Maintain accurate logs of daily repairs, refrigerant usage, preventive maintenance activities, and system performance checks.
  8. Assist in setting up workshops, spare parts inventory, and maintenance storerooms during the pre-opening phase.
  9. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations when handling electrical equipment, refrigerants, and other potentially hazardous materials.
  10. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure systems are de-energized before working on them.
  11. Participate actively in emergency response situations, addressing system breakdowns quickly and professionally.
  12. Support sustainability initiatives by promoting energy-saving practices in HVAC and refrigeration operations.
What You Bring
  1. A diploma or technical certification in HVAC, Refrigeration Technology, or a related mechanical field.
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration maintenance, preferably in luxury hotels, resorts, or large facilities.
  3. Evident track record of diagnosing and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including different refrigerants, electrical components, and HVAC systems.
  4. Knowledge of BMS operations, energy conservation methods, and basic electrical controls related to HVAC systems.
  5. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and installation diagrams.
  6. Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  7. Proficiency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
