Responsibilities

• Provide expert optical engineering support and design for R&D and production.
• Conduct optical measurements in the lab, document findings, and report results.
• Design, test, and validate optical measurement setups and assess optical parameters on samples.
• Perform tolerance analysis on new designs.
• Assist in designing and prototyping proof-of-concept products and assemblies.
• Estimate costs and schedules for tasks.
• Travel to the USA or Asia once per semester for up to 2 weeks is a plus.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Optical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of industry experience.
• Experience in imaging optical design and lab optomechanical assembly.
• Proficiency with Zemax; CAD skills are a plus.
• Knowledge of semiconductor laser and MEMS technologies is advantageous.
• Flexible, team-oriented, and collaborative attitude.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in electronics and mechanics.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
