Singh Homes was founded almost 15 years ago and currently completing 150-200 custom build projects per year ranging from greenfield to knock-down rebuild sites. We have won a number of awards in recent years through Master Builders Association Victoria and currently investing in 18 new and under construction Display Homes, a new Colour Showroom and 700m2 Head Office extension at Longford Road, Epping. The role is Office based at Head Office.

Experience:
10+ years’ experience and proven results driving individual and team outcomes to surpass budget, quality & cost, staff engagement, client and organisational expectations, with ideally expertise in Autocad and Revit, within a Custom Build sector.
Key role requirements include:
Coaching:
- Training & Development: coach, mentor and develop all team members, establish personal development plans & goal setting; regularly track performance against KPIs and staff ongoing development to utilise staff potential to fullest and minimise gaps.
Team Management:
- Workload Management: manage and distribute all tasks/jobs to design team to make sure targets (quantity & quality) are met.
- Tri-Weekly Work In Progress Meetings: address hurdles, opportunities and job movement plans/schedules.
Budgets:
- Ensure weekly & monthly budgets being achieved & surpassed with FTE headcount vs performance, along with design Jobs numbers and timelines.
- Forecasting vs Actual: provide weekly and monthly forecasts and drive outcomes to overachieve.
- Staff budget management: manage FTE overheads, workload & revenue to maximise business profitability.
- Maintain Conversion Rate: 8 concepts & 8 WD to be finalized per week.
- Monitor Slow Moving jobs and follow them up regularly to decrease preconstruction timeline.
Operational Workflow:
Run weekly workflow sheet and support Operational Manager.
- Daily-weekly-monthly comprehensive analysis and accuracy of workflow sheet; drive concept / WD workflow ensuring all jobs tracking ahead of pre-site timelines, identify roadblocks with Sales/Clients/Ops/Developers/Other and mitigate this while driving improved performance overall. Establish Visual Management Board (VMB) and digital presentation to management, proactive checks, ensure all jobs on track and data accurate into weekly Operational Workflow sessions and monthly management meetings.
Project Management: Liaise with Relevant building Surveyors, Developers, Clients, Distributors & Relevant Power/Water Authorities, Suppliers along with staff to coordinate and expedite timeliness of RFIs and overall pre-site job workflow process.
Continuous Improvement (CI): establish CI process improvement, along with Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), including digital and hardcopy documents for training and development.
- ETS: Analyse design related ETSs and find improvement opportunities to be implemented.
- Construction: Regularly check issues with construction team to find design related problems during construction. Prepare action plan and add necessary detail / amendment as required.
- Provide cost efficient suggestions / plans to decrease construction cost.
