Your Personal Sphere Of Play

The ANTIOX working group (research group of Karl-Heinz Wagner) at the Department of Nutritional Sciences is looking for support in nutritional epidemiology and human studies to work on interdisciplinary research projects. We are a young, creative team with a friendly working atmosphere and focus on national and international collaboration. Our focus is on nutritional physiology, biomarker analysis, and epidemiology in multidisciplinary research projects.

Your Responsibilities

  • Processing nutritional epidemiology data sets and writing scientific publications.
  • Mentoring Master’s and PhD students and managing your own projects.
  • Writing applications for third-party funding and advancing research projects independently.
  • Teaching courses as per collective contractual provisions.
  • Participating in research, teaching, administration, and developing an independent research profile.

Your Future Tasks

  • Develop an independent research profile in Nutrition and Epidemiology.
  • Participate in research projects and scientific studies in Nutrition, Epidemiology, and Nutritional Physiology.
  • Publish internationally and deliver lectures.
  • Apply for projects and secure third-party funding.
  • Teach courses independently within the scope of the collective agreement.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to research and teaching.

Candidate Profile

  • PhD in Nutrition with a focus on Epidemiology.
  • Postgraduate training in epidemiology (preferably).
  • Understanding of nutrition and disease risk in cohort studies.
  • Experience with statistical methods for large datasets and modeling complex epidemiological data.
  • Experience with RedCap and handling data from large consortia (preferred).
  • Excellent German and English language skills.
  • Team-oriented with strong social and communication skills.
  • Resilient and highly motivated.
