What You'll Be Doing:
Located in Perth, the Strategic Channel Manager will be responsible for driving business growth in the Western Australian market by developing and executing a clear sales strategy. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the WA sales team and building strong relationships with senior customer representatives. You will be well-supported by an experienced and engaging National Sales Lead, along with technical specialists to assist in showcasing new technologies and innovations.
This is a key leadership role suited to either an experienced sales professional ready to step into people management, or a seasoned sales leader who thrives in a hands-on environment.
Your Areas of Impact:
Strategy and Growth
- Develop and implement the WA sales plan in line with the overall business and marketing strategy.
- Achieve sales targets through execution of the sales plan.
- Drive development and retention of key accounts and identify new business opportunities.
- Implement pricing and margin strategies to support business growth.
- Actively engage with industry associations, promotions, and key customer relationships to elevate company visibility.
Team Leadership and Development
- Manage, coach, and motivate the WA sales team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
- Monitor sales team activities, provide support and advice, and ensure effective training and succession planning.
- Implement learning and development programs for the WA sales staff.
What You Bring:- Proven track record in meeting sales targets and securing major new business accounts.
- Ability to build and sustain long-term, profitable relationships across all customer levels, from regional managers to contractors and architects.
- Strong planning, execution, and strategic thinking skills to drive outcomes.
- Experience in employee management, coaching, and team development, particularly within the electrical wholesale market, is highly regarded.
- Motivated to step into or grow within a leadership role, supported by excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in CRM tools with solid analytical capabilities.
