Solution Advisor (f/m/d) Customer Experience

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Customer Experience Solution Portfolio is designed to offer businesses an integrated approach to delivering real-time experiences to customers across all digital channels. Customers can exchange information, such as customer data, between various systems to produce a 360-degree view of the customer. The SAP Customer Experience Line of Business includes SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP Sales Cloud, SAP Service Cloud, SAP Marketing Cloud, and SAP Customer Data Cloud.

The SAP Customer Experience Solution Advisor identifies, understands, and defines customer needs to develop and maintain standard product demonstrations and materials to close business and increase revenue. During these cycles, they often take on the role of a Solution Captain. The Solution Advisor is considered one of the most knowledgeable PreSales persons on a given solution in the Business unit they support.

  • Responsible for highly complex/visible pre-sales and/or post-sales support of company products/systems.
  • Provides advanced-level technical support to complex sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Provides answers to customer/internal SAP team inquiries concerning advanced solution topics focusing on driving customer success and business outcomes.
  • Supports regional and offshore Solution Experience teams in building demos based on customer requirements to demonstrate the application's feasibility, often requiring rapid prototyping.
  • Participates in demo system design, planning, and specification of configuration requirements if needed.
  • Quickly establishes oneself as a thought leader in the VAT and fine-tunes account strategy.
  • Guides the team in creating overall themes & competitive differentiation (value wedges).
  • Executes vigorous dry runs on strategic deals and customer engagements.
  • Effectively transitions engagement to implementation partners / Field Services.
  • Shares knowledge proactively with the greater PreSales community through Solution Hubs or other enterprise social media platforms.
  • Possesses broad knowledge of the SAP solution portfolio and can discuss and provide perspectives across the SAP portfolio.
  • Deep knowledge of the SAP Customer Experience solution portfolio, capable of demonstrating many/all products within at least one central solution area.
  • Knows multiple industries and can provide industry-specific solutions, insights, and perspectives to customers.

Experience & Language Requirements

  • 3+ years of presales experience.
  • 3+ years of solution specialist (or equivalent customer-facing) experience in relevant areas.
  • Expertise in end-to-end processes/solution matching.
  • Experience in sales and sales processes.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English and German.
  • Business-level proficiency in the local language: expert.

Education

  • MBA / Ph.D.: optional.
